Friday Faves

Friday Faves: March 20th

The next few weeks may be challenging as students across the country move out of their residence halls and move back home, eight weeks sooner than expected. And as they transition from learning in the classroom to watching prerecorded lectures and joining Google Hangouts. And especially as they come to terms with all the activities they may miss.

Before my school went online for the rest of the semester, I saw so many posts of other schools cancelling and I feel so bad for all of the undergrads that lose out on the last few weeks of their semester. Once spring break rolls by, the campus starts to come alive again, people are out enjoying the sunshine once again. As sad as I am that my time on Alden Street was cut short, I can’t imagine how the seniors must be feeling now that they don’t get to experience all the “lasts”.

While it’s okay to mourn what was lost we still have work to do. In fact, we still have eight weeks worth of work to do so let’s create a productive space and do this thing.

Happy weekend!

Friday Four: October 11th

Happy Friday! It’s been awhile since I’ve blogged and even longer since I’ve done a Friday Four so this is long overdue but better late than never. It’s been such a crazy semester but I’m really enjoying all of my classes this year, as challenging as they are we’ve moved beyond the foundational knowledge and have stepping into synthesizing all of that information and applying it to real people which has been a huge mix of exciting and scary.

Now that I’ve settled back into my routine I’m trying to spend more time getting back into what I love, with a focus on reading and blogging since it’s been nearly a month since I’ve done either! One thing I have been doing a lot of this year is meditation and I will definitely be sharing some of that on the blog as well. Here are some ideas I have for upcoming posts but let me know what else you’d like to see:

  • How to look professional and stylish
  • Fall fashion
  • My favorite smoothie recipes
  • Mason jar lunches
  • How to vibrate higher with meditation (and crystals!)
  • How to use palo santo to keep the good vibes flowing

Here’s to getting some R&R this weekend!
